This playlist was created in California cruising the streets of Highland Park and Silverlake, windows down, hair in the wind, soaking up the smog-free winter sunshine. As we perused vintage stores and alleyway breweries, we created a list of our favourite tunes from the trip. Enjoy!

While you're here, this is list of our favourite places to check out in LA.
1. Homage Brewery – Rad Day To Night Hang
1219 N Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90012, United States
Our favourite place we visited on the trip, home to great music and even better sour beers. Homage had us at hello as soon as we saw the disco ball on the ceiling. This hidden gem boasts some good parties with even better DJs. Some of the tunes we feature on this playlist are inspired by our hang at Homage. Check out their mixes here: https://www.homagebrewing.com/spring-summer-mix-series
2. Gold Line Bar – Chilled Lounge With Epic Vinyl
5607 N Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90042, United States
Head here if you're a fan of vinyl and cool lounge bar vibes. The epic sound system doesn't hurt either. Word on the street is that bar is owned by someone famous in the music industry and they wanted a place to store and share their huge vinyl collection, luck for visitors they get to listen for the measly cost of a delicious cocktail. Check out what they've been spinning as of late here, https://www.mixcloud.com/goldlinebar.
3. Big Bud Press – Sick Retail Experience
Sick digs for people who want bright, fun, and comfortable clothing manufactured in the USA. They didn't ship to Australia when we were in town, so we stocked up on some of their western pants and we haven't taken them off since.
4. Salazar – Amazing Tacos
2490 Fletcher Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90039, United States
If you want to eat one of the best tacos you've ever had, head here. But the guac is over-priced, no surprises there. Stick with the tacos and quesadillas, loaded fries and be sure to order the El Pastor taco! All of the flour tortillas are made in house and melt in your mouth.
5. Joy – Great Delicious & Chill Dinner Spot
5100 York Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90042, United States
Beautiful, affordable, Taiwanese classics with a modern twist. Casual, delicious & easy dining. Just what we love most about LA. Get the Mapo Tofu and the Taro Boba Tea.
6. Bearded Beagle – Chill Vintage Digs
5926 N Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90042, United States
Looking for some dope vintage tees and don't want to dig through the thrift stores? This is a great spot with fairly affordable vintage. Bonus points that they're women owned and LGBTQI+ friendly.
7. Belles Bagels
5022 York Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90042, United States
One of the things that hurts the most being American living in Australia is not having access to good bagels. The bagel at Belles Bagels literally blew our heads off. The line is 1000% worth it.
8. Civil Coffee
5629 N Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90042, United States
If you're after a good bean and love to hate on American coffee, hopefully this place will change your mind. Even their instant coffee sachets were insanely delicious and packed a serious punch. We would order a drip coffee to soak up the American style (free when you buy a pack of instants), but the milky beans are just as yummy too.
More to come!
